Sigh...just minutes before i started writing this post...i was verbally abused by one of my customers... I seriously dont understand whats wrong with Singaporeans nowadays...Arent Customer Service Officers humans too? Are we not made from cells? Are we not the children of another human too? Its really frustrating when u can only listen and not answer back...sigh...But of course..this is just part and parcel of my job...and its not really affecting me now though..cause i've so gotten used to this...haha..in fact sometimes my colleagues and i have a good laugh at those stupid customers who think we really understand...(I call them stupid cause it seems like they do not understand that SHOUTING does not solve the issue...Totally...) but in fact we dont really care...we're just there to do our job...U talk nicely..we'll put in 101% effort...U scream at us...we'll just give u minimal assistance...and we'll help u NOT because u're a customer but cause we NEVER want to hear your voice ever again...lol...I also want the customers who always scream at us to know that while u're screaming at us...we put u on mute and chit chat with our colleagues, laughing at your pathetic cries over the phone...So scream..bring it on~
(I'm sorry for the outburst...i really hate Singaporeans who scream at fellow Singaporeans...when they know that we're only trying to help them...)
Anw...aboout what just happened...the first thing the cust said after i said good afternoon was "HOW YOU WANT TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM?"
So i was like thinking...erm..."What is your problem??"
I continued asking... "What seems to be the issue?"
She replied "My line is cut off! Today was installation..bla bla bla"
So i continued "For that i will have to call the installation compan...."
Before i could even finish what i wanted to say, she shouted "I DONT WANT TO HEAR ALL THAT..."
So i gave her the coolest answer any customer service officer could give...
I merely replied "Ok..."
Lol...that really got on her nerves...and she continued screaming...and after talking to her for 10 minutes using one-liners (ie. "Ok" , "Yes" , "Mmm") from me and more screaming from her...i finally convinced her that screaming at me will not solve the issue...and that i had to put down so i can help her call the installation company to find out what was the issue, then help her get her line up...
But she wasnt really happy I'm not scared of her...so she started her threats...
"Ok..nvm..u take your time and find out what is happening..while i'll go down straight to the comcentre and see if they can help me IMMEDIATELY. Ok? Thanks. Bye."
I simply replied "Ok Bye!" and hanged up...Lol... Why must she sound so aggressive? Wasnt i trying my best to listen? Ok...I wasnt so bad as to leave the problem unsolved...I called my installation company and told them the issue...Case followed up and solved...
You see? There's really no need to be screaming at all...U're just wasting your own time rite? If she had allowed me to put down earlier to call my installer, she would have solved her problems faster...but apparently she wanted to waste her own time...sigh..the life of a customer service officer...lol...
But of course...not everyday is like that...and most of the time i'm enjoying myself reading emails...blogging...gaming...naruto-ing...lol...and of course there are customers who really thank you sincerely after u help them...These are customers who u wouldnt mind calling the next day just to ask if everything is ok...simply because they APPRECIATE... Appreciation has always been very important in my life...cause i've been disappointed far too many times and taken for granted most of the time...Just a simple "Thanks" after i put in effort to help would really make my day...:)
And while looking thru some of my emails today i found some pictures that were sent to me in 2004...oh btw...my email has 1300 unread emails when i opened it today...Lol..and it had a total of 2109 emails i think...haha...Ok ok..its not that i dont read them...but just that I'm too lazy to delete emails that i dont read...and that i simply just like to keep my emails as memories for the future...:) Well...I've decided to post some of the pictures that were more interesting...lol...
